The Hummer model and engine both matter
Earlier H2 6.0L models and the 2008 H2 6.2L do not use the same injector set. The engine change is why the injector part number also changes.
For the H3 or H3T, confirm that the vehicle has the 5.3L V8 Alpha powertrain. The 12580681 injectors listed here are not intended for the 3.5L or 3.7L five-cylinder engine.

Hummer fuel injector questions
Will replacing worn Hummer injectors improve fuel economy?
It may restore normal fuel economy if leaking, restricted, or poorly balanced injectors were causing excessive fuel consumption. Replacing properly functioning injectors will not necessarily improve mileage beyond the vehicle’s normal performance.
Can a bad Hummer fuel injector damage the catalytic converter?
Yes. An injector that delivers too much fuel can cause unburned gasoline to enter the exhaust and overheat the catalytic converter. A continuing misfire or flashing Check Engine Light should be addressed promptly.
What does Alpha mean on a Hummer H3 or H3T?
For the applications covered on this page, Alpha identifies the V8-powered H3 or H3T. Confirm that the vehicle has the 5.3L V8 because the five-cylinder H3 models use different fuel-system components.
Why does the oil in my Hummer smell like gasoline?
A leaking injector can allow fuel to enter a cylinder and mix with the engine oil. Fuel-diluted oil provides less protection for internal engine parts. Avoid unnecessary driving and have the vehicle inspected promptly.
Do factory-style Hummer replacement injectors require tuning?
No tuning is required when the correct factory-style injector number is installed in its original application. The replacement injector must match the vehicle's year, model, engine, and original fuel-system calibration.
